My Meaning Behind Song: “Jay Dillinger – Came With It”

Produced by: Kountdown Beats

People question my religion hmm cool. For the slow minded people the title isn’t just a title. God says we are all born sinners and will never be perfect. So the title is an expression of I came into this world with sin. Also for those who never actually listen to the lyrics. In this song I talk about my life in the perspective that my new status in life makes it’s easy to fall into to sin. I outline my failure in not being able to stay away from sex, my want for success so I can show how powerful God is but hasn’t happened yet, and the fact there is a lack of respect for me rapping about my life. So all in all it’s about the fact that I’m not afraid to say I believe in God even though I’m not perfect at it. At the same time the success and respect I’ve gained from doing it makes people put me in an unrealistic box that I have to fight against.

Real World Portland Season Recap

Real World was a crazy experience. Definitely wish everyone could be put in a position to have to reflect on every decision you make and how it affects the people around you. The biggest thing you could learn from something like this is that you imperfection is what makes you strong. If we all looked, dressed, talked, thought, and acted the same then the world would be boring. Real World helps you not only see that in yourself but in the people around you. Going into the house I already had the notion that I was gonna be the only black person in the house. It’s just something that is pretty consistent on the show. To me I felt like instead of being pissed about it hell take that time to shine. Hell that means just at first glance I’ll be the most different in the house so that’s a win win to me. Plus you know I felt I had that swag so it was gonna be game over duh.

Moving on. Even tho the show doesn’t show it, the closest person I was to in the house was Anastasia. We had an understanding from the jump that all the fighting was not that serious. Then again we wouldn’t really have a show if somebody was throwing bows. Nia was obviously up next on my list. Even tho people think I was just chasing Nia around that wasn’t the case. After most of the arguments Nia would come talk to me to vent. We would talk about everything so it made us pretty damn good friends. Not to mention we were both black so naturally there things that were just easier for to talk about and relate to that everybody else in the house couldn’t. Johnny and Jordan are my homies for life tho. We did so much crazy stuff it should have been illegal how much fun we had. Plus y’all get to see Jordan and I merk (absolutely kill) MTV The Challenge: Rivals 2. Johnny is to much of a comedian to not have apart of the group. Plus he never takes anything serious……. well 90% of the time. Avery is just to damn cool. Very down to earth and can just see life for what it is. She never lets anything really knock her off from just enjoying life. Last but not least my girl Joi. Um can I say hawt! She’s always a good time. She likes to party and be around friends and just goes with the flow. Gotta love a chick who’s sexy as hell and still school you on some football.

All in all people it’s a TV show. You don’t get to see 100% who we are as people. You get a small glimpse inside what we lived and who we are.

Jay Dillinger – Come Up

My first single off of the upcoming album: “Real World (True Story)”
Song is available on iTunes for download here. Album drops July 24th

After my new success on MTV Real World: Portland, I decided to help you understand how the new level in life has changed my perception. Being that I’m in the public eye women, business, elders, hell everyone acts different. With success comes this new feeling that people are around just to get their 5 seconds of fame. Not to mention women and men have this all new crazy attraction to me so sex comes at me from every corner. So the Come Up is about dealing with the fact I know people see the success and want a piece of it but I gotta stay focused. #WavyGang
